The Weekend Effect

proust&cookie.jpg

I suspect there's something to the weekend that works on the brain cells accumulated during the previous week. I suspect there are tiny 'day of the week brain particles' that influence our mental state and well being and general ability to tackle any task at hand.

No doubt it's all a matter of personal preference... whether one prefers the highly active tiny Thursday particles or the tiny and more relaxed Sunday particles. But Monday particles are particularly difficult to deal with. My theory is that the Monday particles are all in dissarray... mixed up and confused. They have all been sent spinning in aimless directions from their Sunday experience. The poor Monday particles have lost the directional focus that they previously had.

That's why I think Thursday brain particles are the easiest to live with... they're all lined up and at least you know where you stand.

It's funny where one's books wind up. I had no idea that Proust had thought so highly of my slender little book!

Plainly it appears he has fully enjoyed the 'Sunday' weekend effect during a playful game of tennis.

I am a 'Tuesday' person.
Mondays are too close to the weekend just gone, and Wednesdays are the week half over and rushing through...
On Tuesdays, I really feel like I can get on with things!

And... I was born on a Tuesday.
