The Other Side of the Hill...

Hmmm... 25 - 30 miles a gallon. Gas mileage seems about the same as my Volvo 940 turbo. So much for progress.

Here's where I'd like to point the old 940. Right down to the sunny South West! It's hard to imagine... a place where the sun actually comes up every morning! Inconceivable!

Every winter I always dream about the desert... the Grand Canyon, Australia... anywhere hot and sunny and dry... please!

lol!

I saw the first ant of the season....in my kitchen. I never thought I'd be happy to see an ant in my house--but the little suckers come around every spring and summer and always mark the beginning and end of the warmer months.

YAY Spring!

I grew up in Phoenix, Az. and HATED the heat. I am NOT a desert person, that's why I moved away... back to family roots...guess where...the Pacific Northwest! The Grand Canyon IS beautiful and nothing beats a desert sky at sunset colour wise, but that's as much as the desert I like.

I saw three ants today - thankfully at a neighbor's house, not mine!
LOL
I'm trying to work out how many gallons to a liter, and miles to a kilometer.
I have No head for math this morning.

Spring is officially here... the garden hedghehog has come out of its hibernation!
Mind you... snow is forecast for the end of the week!
Haven't happened to notice any ants yet!

As for petrol (gas) here(UK) it is around $9.68 USD per gallon now.
(£1.06 GBP per litre).
Want to swap countries? :o)

Yes, but things are so very far apart here!

It's 1,500 miles to the middle of everywhere.
At least in the U.K. everything is withing 200 miles more or less.

And yes, I think it would be delightful to swap countries... I like going to museums and historical sites.

I only drive about 3 days a week anyhow, so I guess I'm lucky I only have to walk upstairs to work.
