The Glittering Jewel

A strange stairway was carved into the cliffside.
Mad echoes of laughter. Could they be seagulls?

The waves swept noiseless & calm far below.

The tower at last!

Yet more strange stairs spiraling upwards...

The glittering jewel revealed. The beacon of enlightenment...

That second photo reminds me of your "real" paintings...you know what I mean.

Thanks.... one of my favorite landscapes is the sea, seen through the woods.

And trees are easy to paint! Very few complaints about getting the noses wrong.

Wow, we get to go inside - amazing! Is it still a working lighthouse then?

No longer working... but it makes a great destination. It's in a state park actually.

I suppose being a freelance illustrator is a good deal like being a lighthouse keeper. Only with more stress. Lighthouse keepers probably don't have deadlines!
